Allen Sutherby
Director
Allen Sutherby is a dedicated public servant whose career spans more than four decades of service, emergency response, and veteran support. He began his commitment to service with four years in the United States Navy, followed by two years in the Army National Guard, building a foundation of discipline, leadership, and a lifelong devotion to community and country.
Allen has served over 40 years in the fire service, including 25 years as Fire Chief for Morton Township. Throughout his fire service career, he has been recognized for his steady leadership, operational expertise, and unwavering focus on protecting the lives and property of the residents he serves.
Beyond his fire service career, Allen is one of the few remaining original members involved with Mid Michigan Honor Flight. His long-standing dedication to the organization includes serving on its elected Board of Directors. He currently serves—at the trust and will of his peers—as the organization’s Medical Director, ensuring the safety and care of America’s veterans as they visit their memorials in Washington, D.C.
With decades of leadership and a lifetime of service, Allen Sutherby continues to embody integrity, commitment, and respect for those who have served before him.
